Golden State Warriors big man Anderson Varejao will miss the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro because of a back injury.

Warriors PR noted Varejao was “diagnosed with a small lower back disc herniation” and miss the chance to play for his home country in Brazil even though he should be fine by the start of the 2016-17 NBA campaign.
