Wilson ‘outstanding’ in perfect relief outing

BALTIMORE — Rest looks like it has rejuvenated Tyler Wilson.
The O’s righty, who was sent down to Triple-A to get “crisp” before the All-Star break, tossed four perfect innings and was a bright spot in Tuesday’s 6-3 loss to the Rockies.
“I though Tyler was outstanding,” Orioles manager Buck Showalter said of the outing. “Really gave us a blow down there in the bullpen.”
Wilson, making his first appearance since his July 2 start — in which he allowed eight earned runs over three innings — came on following O’s starter Chris Tillman. He made quick work on the Rockies in the sixth and was able to save the rest of Baltimore’s relief corps with his terrific 40-pitch outing.
