Rutgers DT Darius Hamilton still not giving up on One Direction

CHICAGO — Darius Hamilton isn’t ready to give up on One Direction quite yet.
The music-loving Rutgers defensive tackle and six-year fan of one of the world’s most famous pop bands made a plea for the boys to get back together even as a reunion is starting to look less likely.

He has some backup options to blast over the locker-room speakers. And Hamilton truthfully is more focused right now on returning to full health and helping the Scarlet Knights get back to a bowl game under new coach Chris Ash. But he took a break from talking football at Big Ten media days to weigh in on the future of a group that he has taken some flack from teammates for unabashedly loving.
