Howe targets England for Ibe

Eddie Howe is aiming to turn new Bournemouth signing Jordon Ibe into an England international.
The Cherries boss signed Ibe from Liverpool for £15m earlier this month and the 20-year-old scored his first goal for his new club on Saturday in a 3-3 friendly draw with Portsmouth.
Howe, who was mooted as a potential England manager before Sam Allardyce was appointed on a two-year deal on Friday, believes playing for England’s senior side should be Ibe’s aim going forward.
“Jordon scored a good goal and we saw glimpses of what he can do,” Howe said. “I am excited to work with him over a longer period of time.
