Trumbo, Edwin may flash big power tonight
- Updated: July 25, 2016
Welcome to DraftKings fantasy baseball, the Official Daily Fantasy Game of Major League Baseball.
The players listed below are in position to provide difference-making stats for DraftKings participants tonight.
Mark Trumbo: With 30 homers and 73 RBIs across 381 at-bats, the outfielder has been one of the most productive players in baseball this season. Trumbo could go deep or drive in multiple runs when he takes his lifetime .815 OPS against left-handers (.762 vs. righties) into a matchup with the left-handed Jorge De La Rosa (6.07 ERA, 1.67 WHIP in 2016) and a Rockies relief corps that ranks 29th in baseball with a 4.96 ERA.
J.J. Hardy: The shortstop could have a great game when he brings his lifetime .763 OPS against left-handers (.705 vs. righties) into a matchup with the left-handed De La Rosa and a Rockies squad that ranks 29th in baseball with a .670 defensive efficiency ratio. In his career, De La Rosa has allowed right-handed hitters such as Hardy to post a .798 OPS (.647 OPS allowed to lefty batters).
Edwin Encarnacion: Having produced 26 homers and a Major League-leading 86 RBIs this season, Encarnacion has been a terrific DraftKings choice on many occasions. With a .914 OPS vs. righties since the outset of 2012, the slugger is primed for another big performance when he faces righty Colin Rea (career 4.82 ERA) and a Padres bullpen that ranks 25th in baseball with a 4.51 ERA.
Michael Saunders: Having already tied a career high with 19 homers and recorded a .288 average — also a personal best — Saunders has bounced back well from an injury-plagued 2015 season in which he played only nine games. The outfielder could have success when he takes his lifetime .730 OPS vs. righties (.695 vs. lefties) into a matchup with the righty Rea (5.01 ERA in 2016) and a suspect Padres relief corps.
Anthony Rizzo: With 24 homers, 72 RBIs and a .397 on-base …
