Arsenal Transfer News: Latest on Arda Turan and Wojciech Szczesny Rumours

Arsenal target Arda Turan will be allowed to leave Barcelona in order to improve the Spanish club’s transfer budget, per Spanish newspaper Marca (h/t Emre Sarigul of Turkish Football).
The former Atletico Madrid winger joined the Camp Nou club last August in a deal worth £33 million; however, Turan has been unable to replicate his electrifying form for the Liga champions after being forced to wait six months to make his competitive debut.
A transfer embargo forced the Turkey international to sit out much of Barca’s 2015-16 campaign, eventually making his first appearance for the club in a 4-0 win over Granada in January. Per WhoScored.com, Turan went on to make 18 appearances in the league, starting on just nine occasions. Despite this, he still managed to score twice and supply three assists to his team-mates.
Per Marca, Luis Enrique’s Barca are now willing to allow the attacking midfielder to depart the club in order to shore up their financial situation after shelling out on the likes of Samuel Umtiti, Lucas Digne, Denis …
