Skaggs set for first start in nearly two years

HOUSTON — Tyler Skaggs is finally coming back to the Major Leagues.
The Angels announced Sunday that Skaggs will start Tuesday’s game from Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City, five days before the two-year anniversary of his last Major League game.
Skaggs tore his left ulnar collateral ligament in Baltimore on July 31, 2014, 4 2/3 innings into a no-hitter, and underwent Tommy John surgery a couple weeks later.
Now 25, the 6-foot-4 left-hander has been working his way back ever since. He appeared in a couple of Spring Training games in March and was on track to be ready before the end of April, but he suffered a setback that essentially shut him …
