Glasnow’s erratic start ends with shoulder discomfort

PITTSBURGH — Pirates pitcher Tyler Glasnow’s second Major League start ended in the top of the fourth inning Saturday because of right shoulder discomfort, the team announced.
Glasnow, rated by MLBPipeline.com as the top Pirates prospect and the No. 8 prospect in all of baseball, was erratic through three-plus innings and walked off the mound after manager Clint Hurdle and team trainer Todd Tomczyk attended to him with two runners on, none out and a 2-1 count to the Phillies’ Peter Bourjos.
