WTA BASTAD – First WTA career-final for Siniakova: she will face Siegemund

Second WTA Singles final in 2016 after Stuttgart for Laura Siegemund, who beat Julia Goerges 4/6 6/3 4/0 ret. In the first set Goerges is always under control, she breaks Siegemund in the first game, gets broken on 4-3 and breaks back in the next game to win the first set. In the second set a break in the seventh game is the key, after that Siegemund struggles to win the set, converting only the fifth set point. In the third set Goerges retires due to injury down 4-0.
