Cubs activate Fowler from DL, add Montgomery

MILWAUKEE — The Chicago Cubs have activated center fielder Dexter Fowler from the disabled list on Friday after the outfielder missed a month with a hamstring injury.
Fowler was in the lineup for the series opening game against the Milwaukee Brewers.
“It feels like Opening day. It feels good to be back on the field. I got some rest but you never want to get rest like this,” Fowler said before jumping to the field for the first time since June 18.
