Senior British Open 2016: Leaderboard Scores and Highlights from Friday

Kohki Idoki and Joe Durant have a one-shot lead over a host of players after the second day of the 2016 Senior British Open. The former finished his second round with a superb score of five-under 67 at the notoriously tricky Carnoustie course in Scotland, while Durant finished four under to tie him at the top of the leaderboard. 

Carnoustie was kind to the field on Friday, as the majority of the top contenders finished with scores of 70 or under. Olin Browne, who is one of the players just behind the leaders, played a flawless round of six under, and Mark McNulty managed a hole-in-one on the 13th.

Idoki played a flawless front nine and finished strongly on the 18th, holing a bunker shot for birdie, to finish with a score of five under. He recorded two bogeys on the back nine, including a poor effort at the 17th that had him in danger of coughing up the lead, but his superb recovery on the final hole saved his round.
