Emelia Gorecka among athletes at BMC GP in Oxford

Emelia Gorecka will be looking to continue her return to action after injury with a good performance in the fourth British Milers’ Club Grand Prix event of the summer in Oxford on Saturday (July 23).
The 22-year-old 2012 World Junior Championships medallist will be racing on the track for only the fourth time this summer having made her comeback in a low-key Southern League match earlier in the month – winning both the 400m and 800m – and then clocking 4:24.40 to win the 1500m at the BMC Gold Standard meeting in Watford a few days later.
At her best – which stands at 4:14.22 set four years ago – Gorecka would be a leading contender for victory on Saturday and her declared target of 4:20 will certainly put her at the front of the field.
