W. Senior National Team. USA Women Defeat Russia 16-5 In San Diego To Open Three Game Series

San Diego, CA – July 21 – A capacity crowd at Cathedral Catholic High School played host to the first match in a three game series between the U.S. Olympic Women’s Water Polo Team and Russia. Team USA opened the series in strong fashion with a 16-5 victory. Maddie Musselman (Newport Beach, CA/Corona del Mar HS/CdM Aquatics) led all scorers with six goals in the win while Ashleigh Johnson posted eight saves in the win. The two teams meet next on Sunday at UCLA at 2pm pt. Tickets are on sale and can be purchased by clicking here. The match will also be streamed live on Facebook.com/USAWP.
