Ranger close to Curragh return

Derby runner-up US Army Ranger is close to a return to action, with the Royal Whip Stakes at the Curragh under consideration.
The Galileo colt has not been sighted since he got to within a length and a half of Harzand at Epsom, but pleased his trainer in a canter after racing at Leopardstown on Thursday night.
He could now drop back down in class and in trip for the Group Three Royal Whip on August 21.
