Packers go whole hog, add bacon-centric food stand at Lambeau

GREEN BAY, Wis. — The Green Bay Packers’ brain trust had plenty of built-in applause lines during Thursday morning’s annual shareholders meeting at Lambeau Field.
General manager Ted Thompson merely had to mention Aaron Rodgers’ name to get the crowd of 8,200 to hoot and holler. President/CEO Mark Murphy simply had to show a replay of Rodgers’ 61-yard Hail Mary pass that beat the Detroit Lions — and went on to win NFL play of the year and an ESPY as the best play in all of sports — to bring the team’s “owners” to their feet.
