Chris Hooshyar becomes associate head coach for Auburn women’s tennis

Auburn Tigers women’s tennis head coach, Lauren Spencer, has announced that Chris Hooshyar will work as an associate head coach from the next season. Last season, Hooshyar was named ITA National Women’s Assistant Coach of the Year so this came as a logical move after all of his hard work for the Tigers squad. Chris is a former Southern Methodist University player (2006-10), where he was coached by Spencer, so they have long-term connections. After his playing career, Hooshyar was a volunteer assistant coach at SMU, before coming to Auburn in 2013. The last season was especially successful for the Manchester native, with Auburn setting program records for wins in the season (24) …
