The game of tennis is one that is made up of a series of lists. These lists cover subject matter ranging from the greatest of all time, to the most double faults hit in a career. Each list is one that either speaks to the triumphs of past greats or draws attention to the shortcomings of would be greats. One of the worst lists to end up on is the “best player to never win a major.”
The list is filled with chokers, burnouts, overly-hyped wannabees, and players that make you wonder how they did not pull off at least one surprise triumph somewhere.
