Royals prospect Zimmer needs thoracic surgery

Kansas City Royals pitching prospect Kyle Zimmer will undergo season-ending surgery to address thoracic outlet syndrome.
New York Mets right-hander Matt Harvey had a similar surgery this week that ended his season.
