Cabrera continues impressive rookie season

CINCINNATI — Working mop-up duty in the eighth inning of the Braves’ 8-2 loss to the Reds on Monday, reliever Mauricio Cabrera reached back and threw the hardest pitch of his Major League career.
On a 2-2 pitch to pinch-hitter Tyler Holt, Cabrera threw a 103.8-mph fastball for ball three. Not only was it the fastest pitch Cabrera has ever thrown, but it was the fastest thrown by any pitcher not named Aroldis Chapman in the Statcast™ era.
