The Great Run Company to manage London 2017 marathon and walks

The 2017 IAAF World Championships non-track events, including the marathons plus the 50km and 20km walks, are to be managed by The Great Run Company, London 2017 has announced.
This comes after an open tender process was carried out using standard UKA procurement protocols, event organisers said.
The Great Run Company specialises in the development, design, organisation and rights management of mass participation sporting events, including the world’s biggest half-marathon, the Great North Run.
The men’s and women’s marathon events will take place on Sunday August 6, 2017, with the 20km and 50km walk events held a week later on Sunday August 13. The exact routes, along with the start and finish locations, will be announced …
