Cats & Coffee: Panthers’ Defensive Prospects on Different Paths to NHL

Good morning and welcome to “Cats & Coffee,” a weekly segment presented by Community Coffee in which we get you caffeinated with an exciting look at the week ahead for the Florida Panthers.
The Florida Panthers closed the book on their annual development camp this past week, but luckily there are still plenty of stories left to tell from the organization’s talented group of young prospects.
This week, FloridaPanthers.com will be taking a look at a pair of defenseman at very different stages of their careers.
Riley Stillman, a fourth-round pick in last month’s draft, is only just beginning to embark upon his journey to the NHL, hoping to follow in the footsteps of his father, Cory, who recorded 109 points (39-70—109) in 165 games for the Panthers from 2008-11.
“It means a lot,” said the 18-year-old Stillman, who recorded six goals and 21 points in 62 games for the OHL’s Oshawa Generals last season. “I lived (in Florida) for a little bit and played for the Jr. Panthers. It’s something that I was really excited about at the …
