Marlins prospect Garrett reportedly hurt in prank

MIAMI — A prank described as going too far recently resulted in a highly ranked Marlins prospect receiving three stitches in his right hand. Class A Greensboro outfielder Stone Garrett was accidentally cut by teammate and roommate Josh Naylor, Miami’s No. 1 pick in the 2015 MLB Draft.
Garrett, according to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, has been placed on the Minor League disabled list with what is termed a “thumb injury” and is traveling to Miami to be evaluated by a hand specialist. He last played on Wednesday.
