Following her great success at Roland Garros, where she won her first Grand Slam title, Spaniard Garbine Muguruza has climbed to 2nd place in the WTA rankings, and in the next few months, we can finally have a battle over the world number 1 spot! Serena is the defending champion and Muguruza was her opponent in the final, so it will be very interesting to follow which player will have the better tournament, and of course, the new WTA rankings list after the world’s greatest tennis tournaments. Serena has suffered in the Grand Slam finals this year, losing both in Melbourne and in Paris, so the Wimbledon crown will be a must have if she want’s to keep her number 1 spot for few more months.
