Will Hodgson make changes?

It may have been a mixed display for England as they beat Portugal, but history suggests Roy Hodgson is unlikely to make any changes to his side for their opening Euro 2016 game against Russia – unless he is forced to do so.
England laboured to a 1-0 victory at Wembley on Thursday night, as Chris Smalling’s late header made it three wins out of three in their warm-up games.
Despite the victory, England’s performance was patchy and, in particular, the front three of Wayne Rooney, Harry Kane and Jamie Vardy appeared to struggle in Hodgson’s system.
If the last two tournaments are anything to go by, however, Hodgson is likely to name the same starting XI in Marseille on Saturday night as he did at Wembley.
On both occasions, the England boss has made just one change between the side that started the last warm-up friendly and the first game of the competition – and both times they were enforced.
