Davis pulled early with elbow throbbing

HOUSTON — A’s slugger Khris Davis is day to day with an elbow issue that prematurely forced him out of Sunday’s 5-2 loss in Houston, leaving his status questionable for Tuesday in Milwaukee.
Davis, who began his career with the Brewers, was lifted in favor of pinch-hitter Billy Butler in the seventh inning after aggravating the area around his left elbow where he was hit by a pitch on Saturday.
