Saturday win special for new dad Perez

ARLINGTON — Rangers left-hander Martin Perez entered his start Saturday with 21 career wins. But, No. 22, which he picked up in the team’s 10-4 win over the Mariners, will always hold a special place in his heart.
It was his first victory as a father. Perez and his wife, Viclena, had their daughter, Malena Kate, during the team’s off day on Thursday.
