Futures bright after Perth win

A review of Sunday’s action at Perth where Menorah was reeled in by Gold Futures in the feature race.

Gold Futures was given a canny ride by Brian Harding as the partnership landed the £25,000 Pentland Land Rover Perth Gold Cup in front of a bumper sun-kissed crowd at Perth.

Harding brought his mount with a well-timed run to reel in Menorah and they ended up scoring by five-lengths from a game runner-up who was conceding them 24lbs.

Winning trainer Nicky Richards said: “We will probably give him an entry in the Summer Cup at Uttoxeter.

“He is a horse very much on the up and we think quite a lot of him.
