In Texas they trust: Rangers ruling at home

ARLINGTON — The Rangers have been a force at home this season with a 20-9 record at Globe Life Park after their 10-4 win over the Mariners Saturday night. With the win, they tied the club record with nine straight series won at home, set back in 1993.
The stretch dates back to April 16 when they won a rubber match against the Orioles. They will get a chance to break the club record when they open up a four-game set with the Astros on Monday at home.
The Rangers didn’t waste any time Saturday, scoring three runs in the first inning for the second straight night to back starter Martin Perez. The win put them a season-high two games ahead of Seatle at first place in the American League West.
