Copa America Results 2016: Group Results, Standings, Tables and Updated Schedule

Saturday features an action-packed schedule with three games at the 2016 Copa America tournament.  

The first day of the competition only saw Colombia and the United States square off in a 2-0 defeat for the Americans. Perennial favorite Brazil against a tough Ecuadorian team will headline the tournament’s second day.

Costa Rica vs. Paraguay

According to FIFA’s world rankings, Costa Rica, No. 23, should have been the favorite heading into its opening match with Paraguay, No. 44. Yet it was the underdog that controlled play in the first half.

In a first frame that was scarce in scoring opportunities, the Paraguayans posted slightly better numbers, per the Orlando Sentinel’s Alicia DelGallo:
