White Sox, Padres complete Shields swap

DETROIT — James Shields is now a member of the White Sox as the Padres sent the veteran righty to Chicago on Saturday for Minor League right-handed pitcher Erik Johnson and Minors infielder Fernando Tatis Jr.
Shields, 34, had been scheduled to start Sunday night in San Diego against the Rockies. Shields has nine straight seasons for at least 200 innings pitched, 30 starts and double-digit victories.
