W2W4: Pittsburgh Penguins at San Jose Sharks, Game 3

SAN JOSE — Game 3 of the 2016 Stanley Cup finals between the Pittsburgh Penguins and San Jose Sharks starts at 8 p.m. ET on Saturday at SAP Center. The Penguins hold a 2-0 lead in this best-of-seven series. Here’s what to watch for:
Cheater, cheater: Talk to any centerman around the league and he’ll tell you the same thing: Everyone cheats on the faceoff dot. The Sharks’ Logan Couture’s comments after Game 2 about Crosby cheating on the drop before Conor Sheary’s game-winning goal was all about gamesmanship. Maybe Couture’s trying to get in the ear of the linesmen. (He later backed off the comments.) But for all the talk the last couple off days whether or not Crosby cheats, Sharks centerman Joel Ward, who lost the final drop of Game 2, blames only himself.
“The puck went in,” Ward said. “It was my fault on the play. I lost a pretty key draw and I just got to be better. That’s the bottom line.”
When asked if he thought Crosby jumped the gun, Ward said: “I have no comment on it. The puck went in and the game was over. For me, the onus is on myself.”
Crosby has a 52.7-percent success rate (245 for 465) on faceoffs this postseason.
