Teheran takes latest hard-luck loss in stride

LOS ANGELES — Though three pitches made this the latest of the frustrating experiences Julio Teheran has experienced at Dodger Stadium, the right-hander was still able to walk away from Friday night’s start with the same sense of encouragement he has felt most of this season.
But that doesn’t mean Teheran wasn’t bothered by the maddening reality that the only three hits he surrendered over 5 2/3 innings were solo home runs that proved decisive in the Dodgers’ 4-2 win. The odd line made him the first pitcher in Braves history to allow exactly three runs and three hits, all of which were home runs, while completing at least five innings.
“It was kind of weird,” Teheran said. “I felt good and I made good pitches. Even though I made good pitches, they still hit them and they all were homers. It’s one of those games. I felt good. There’s nothing I can do.”
