Foltynewicz sidelined with bone spur in right elbow

LOS ANGELES — Braves right-hander Mike Foltynewicz exited Monday’s victorious start against the Giants feeling great about how far he had progressed over the past month. But the right elbow discomfort he felt over the next few days will force him to miss Saturday’s scheduled matchup against Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw.
Either Bud Norris or Triple-A Gwinnett’s John Gant will start in place of Foltynewicz, who was relieved when an MRI exam and CT scan did not show any structural damage to his elbow. His discomfort …
