Yanks’ Teixeira sent for MRI after exiting game

BALTIMORE — New York Yankees first baseman Mark Teixeira left Friday night’s game against the Baltimore Orioles with right knee discomfort and was sent to a hospital for an MRI.
Teixeira, who did not take the field for the bottom of the third inning, was examined by an Orioles team doctor at Camden Yards before being sent for the test. There was no immediate word on results.
