David Mullins steps down as a head coach at Oklahoma, retiring from collegiate coaching

Vice President and Director of Athletics at Oklahoma University, Joe Castiglione, has announced that the head coach of the women’s tennis squad, David Mullins, is stepping down from that position. In addition, Mullins is retiring from College tennis altogether, as he will return with his family to his native Ireland. In his statement, Castiglione has praised Mullin’s work and dedication in his 8 years as a head coach at Oklahoma:
“Coach Mullins informed me Tuesday that he has decided to leave the coaching profession and return to his native Ireland with his family,” said Castiglione. “We sincerely thank him for his strong leadership during his eight years as our head women’s tennis coach, for the program’s competitive improvement on the court and for its academic achievement. We’re extremely grateful for the job he did and wish him the best with his new and exciting endeavors.”David Mullins will be remembered at this College for his great results, leading the Sooners to 5 NCAA tournament appearances, the same …
