Max Holloway wants UFC featherweight title but taking things ‘one step at a time’

At just 24-years-old, Max Holloway is in no rush for a UFC title shot. “I’m a one step at a time kind of guy,” Holloway told ESPN.com in a recent interview.
The budding featherweight prospect has been on a tear since his loss to Conor McGregor in 2013, stringing together eight consecutive wins and catapulting to No. 4 in the official 145-pound rankings. ‘Blessed’ will look to increase his win streak to nine when he takes on Ricardo Lamas at this Saturday’s UFC 199 pay-per-view in Inglewood, Calif.
And, while Holloway didn’t want to talk about a potential title shot, the proud Hawaiian said he’d love to avenge his loss to ‘The Notorious’ in the near-future.
