Tunisia’s Naim Sliti played for French second division side Red Star last season
A win for Tunisia on Friday means that Group A of the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers will be settled with the final ties in September.
Tunisia beat hosts Djibouti 3-0 on Friday with Naim Sliti impressing on his competitive debut.
Later Cameroon can qualify for the finals in Gabon with a win in Mauritania.
The other game on Friday is Libya playing Morocco, who have already qualified for Gabon.
Twenty more matches over the weekend complete the penultimate round of qualifiers.
The group winners and the best two runners-up will qualify for the finals.
