Kane: Attacking trio needs time

Harry Kane believes it is too early to judge his attacking partnership with Wayne Rooney and Jamie Vardy.
On paper, the trio is a potentially exciting prospect, combining the country’s record goalscorer with a pair of strikers who scored 49 times between them last term.
Thursday’s 1-0 win over Portugal was the first time they had played together for England and they failed to spark.
Rooney was set to play as a No 10 for Roy Hodgson’s side, behind Kane and Vardy, but time after time he pushed on through the middle as the latter pair drifted to the flanks.
“I don’t think you can judge it on one performance,” said Kane. “It’s one game, the understanding isn’t just going to happen overnight.
