Emmanuel Sanders Contract: Latest News, Rumors on WR’s Negotiations with Broncos

Denver Broncos president John Elway said Wednesday that negotiations on a long-term contract with wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders have begun.

Sanders, Broncos Working on New Deal Thursday, June 2
Nicki Jhabvala of the Denver Post quoted Elway prior to Denver’s trip to the White House to celebrate its Super Bowl victory.
“We’re working on them, too,” Elway said, speaking of contracts for Sanders and linebacker Brandon Marshall. “I’ve gone back and forth with their agents. The ideal thing would be to get all three of them done (by mid-July). That’s kind of the goal.”
The Broncos are also working on a long-term deal with linebacker Von Miller, who received the franchise tag earlier this offseason.
Sanders, 29, has spent the last two seasons in Denver after coming over from the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2014. He’s due a $5.6 million base salary in 2016, the …
