Hodgson: England are on track

Roy Hodgson said he was pleased with how his side performed after England beat Portugal in their final Euro 2016 warm-up game.
In a drab affair at Wembley, it was a header from Chris Smalling in the 86th minute that sealed the win as Portugal played just under an hour of the game with 10 men after Bruno Alves’ red card.
But despite a lacklustre showing, England have won all three of their warm-up matches ahead of the tournament in France, and Hodgson was ultimately pleased with the performances.
“They were three very different games. I was disappointed tonight that it didn’t remain 11 v 11, we’d have preferred that,” the England boss said.
