Mariners promote C. Martin, designate Peralta

SAN DIEGO — The Mariners recalled right-hander Cody Martin from Triple-A Tacoma on Thursday and designated veteran reliever Joel Peralta for assignment.
Martin joined the team Thursday afternoon and was available for their series finale against the Padres at Petco Park.
