Four teams with an eye on 2020 converge on Bendigo

Bendigo, Victoria, June 2, 2016 – The race for women’s volleyball Olympic qualification may be over for 2016, but for the four international teams gathered in Bendigo, Australia, for the World Grand Prix this weekend the Olympics is very much on their mind.
All four teams – Australia, Cuba, Croatia and Colombia – have brought young and inexperienced teams to Victoria for this weekend’s competition, as they look ahead to qualifying for Tokyo 2020.
“This moment it is not such a strong team, because it is a very young team,” Cuban coach Roberto Garcia said.
“I think by the next Olympics we will have a very good team.”
