Stubbs wants to climb table

Newly-appointed Rotherham manager Alan Stubbs wants to climb the Sky Bet Championship table with his new club.

Stubbs took charge of the Championship side on Wednesday after resigning as head coach of Hibernian, who he led to Scottish Cup glory last month.

Stubbs’ assistant at his former club, John Doolan, has also joined him at Rotherham and has also signed a three-year deal.

Rotherham avoided relegation to League One last season after finishing their campaign strongly under Neil Warnock but the veteran manager then parted company with the Millers.
