Highlight-reel plays keep D-backs in check

HOUSTON — George Springer collected the walk-off home run in the 11th inning that gave the Astros a 5-4 win over the D-backs, but it was the Houston outfield that continually came up with big catches and key plays.
Carlos Gomez in center field and Jake Marisnick in left field made outstanding catches in the third inning that limited the D-backs to only one run in the inning. Gomez also had a first-inning outfield assist and right fielder Springer collected an assist in the seventh inning.
