Dodgers see their starting options dwindling with Alex Wood out a month

CHICAGO — The Los Angeles Dodgers announced Wednesday that Alex Wood will be out of action for four weeks as he rests his injured left elbow.
Wood will not need surgery as he deals with what has been described as a posterior impingement in his left elbow. An MRI was performed Wednesday in Los Angeles and was reviewed by team doctor Neal El Attrache.
The Dodgers are quickly running out of starting options, and not having Wood for the month of June will be a tough loss to cover. Mike Bolsinger is trying to give the Dodgers quality innings in the rotation, while 19-year-old Julio Urias has been brought back from Triple-A Oklahoma …
