Elsewhere on this always-engaging site, I posed a question that could easily occupy your every waking second, preventing you from accomplishing other important tasks, such as A) work or B) lunch. Nevertheless, it’s time to ask it again:

If we asked you to name the golden age of third basemen, what would you say?

OK, want to know why I ask it again? Because it’s not for me to answer. It’s for you to answer. But the least I can do is help you out. What are the credentials for the third-base class of the ‘60s, ‘70s, ‘80s, ‘90s, ‘00s and ‘10s in this debate? Here you go. Please vote responsibly.

THE 1960S

• Hall of Famers: Brooks Robinson, Eddie Mathews, Ron Santo, Tony Perez
