Canes Agree to Terms with Josh Wesley

RALEIGH, NC – Ron Francis, Executive Vice President and General Manager of the National Hockey League’s Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that the team has agreed to terms with defenseman Josh Wesley on a three-year, entry-level contract. The deal will pay Wesley $575,000 in the NHL or $60,000 in the American Hockey League (AHL) in 2016-17. He will be paid $650,000 in the NHL or $65,000 in the AHL during the 2017-18 and 2018-19 seasons, and receives a signing bonus of $210,000.
