Smith set to rejoin Brewers

MILWAUKEE — The Brewers will activate reliever Will Smith from the Disabled List on Wednesday. The team optioned reliever David Goforth following Tuesday night’s 10-3 loss to the Cardinals.
Smith, who tore a ligament in his knee in March, was slated for a return from the 15-day DL on Thursday, manager Craig Counsell said on Monday.
