NCAA Men’s Golf Championships 2016: Results, Leaderboard Standings from Tuesday

The remaining field shrunk from eight to four Tuesday at the 2016 NCAA Men’s Golf Championships at Eugene Country Club in Eugene, Oregon.
The eight highest-placed teams following stroke play Monday advanced to the quarterfinals. The top-seeded Texas Longhorns remain the favorites to win their fourth national championship, while the Oregon Ducks have a great equalizer in that they’re playing on their home course.
The defending champion LSU Tigers also remain in the hunt after finishing second during stroke play.

Oregon pulled off the only upset of the quarterfinal round, sending LSU packing 3-1-1. It’s undoubtedly a disappointing finish for the Tigers after last year’s title win.
LSU freshman Sam Burns isn’t letting the loss take away from an otherwise strong 2016 campaign:
