Agnieszka Radwanska’s loss came completely out of the blue. On Sunday The Polish player was leading 6-2 3-0 against Tsvetana Pironkova, before the suspension. Today she won just three games, losing with the final result of 2-6 6-3 6-3.

She had some wrist issues during the match because of the heavy balls: ‘I had surgery few years ago and I couldn’t really play in that conditions – she said – I’m just so surprised and angry, that we had to play under the rain. I mean, it’s not a 10,000 tournament. It’s a Grand Slam. How can you allow players to play in the rain?
